DANCING PAN by Alvin Sandler (Sandor)

Pan, an ancient woodlands sprite, twirling in joyous exuberance,
dances in the Greek manner, with the snapping of fingers, and
rhythmic foot stamping. Half goat and half human, Pan celebrates
in myth the duality of man’s nature. In this vivacious sculpture, the
artist has given expression to this duality by shaping it in a frenzy
of clay modeling, while the discipline of classic draftsmanship
unites and intensifies the whole.
You are invited to commission your own personal bronze scupture of
Dancing Pan. (Foundry costs plus $500 artist’s fee.)
