This dramatic figure springs from the artist’s sketch book.
It is itself a sketch in three dimensions, observed and noted
during the excitement of a live performance. It is the
realization in clay of the most fleeting of line drawings. Like
Degas, Sandler uses sculpture to more deeply realize his
paintings. But it seems that sculpture will have its way first.
You are invited to commission your own personal bronze
sculpture of Flamenco Dancer.
